“My internship at Power Digital has been truly instrumental in learning how real life works. I took a social media marketing class, and everything I learned from that class applied directly to what I had to do in the internship.”

“I’ve had two significant internships. First, with Vivint Smart Home, which sharpened my skills in sales, communication, and strategy. Secondly, at the State House, with Rep. Shirley Ariaga. This role gave me a real-world look into politics and lawmaking. Both internships have been crucial in developing my abilities and understanding of different career paths.”

“My internship at the Suffolk County House of Corrections was a compelling experience. It’s a remarkable feeling when you’re finally able to do the work you’ve been training to do. I enjoyed this internship because it was dynamic, a combination of crisis counseling and individual therapy.”
“At Veterans Legal Services, I worked on divorce, housing, and eviction cases for Massachusetts veterans—the kind of civil legal needs that go unmet when people don't know where to turn. My supervising attorney told me I'd need to learn MADE, a digital guided interview tool for eviction defense. I smiled—the tool was built by Professor Steenhuis, who'd taught me to code at Suffolk the year before. Everything I'd learned followed me into that internship.”
“At the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Appeals Unit, I wrote briefs on issues from ineffective assistance of counsel to statutory interpretation—and then argued them before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. One has been accepted for direct appellate review by the Supreme Judicial Court. To have participated in something being considered by the SJC before I had even graduated law school was an incredible experience.”
“Through my internship at pharmaceutical tech company RXSense, I developed my ability to write and run SQL queries and built a data visualization application tracking COVID-19’s spread in the United States.”
